The Strategic Advisory Services practice at Cogent Company is focused on exploiting technology as a means to enable the overall objective(s) and refining the principles and tactics relating to the technologies that the organization uses.
Senior Consultants in this practice will serve in a client facing role and be primarily focused on understanding what the client is trying to do and driving the creation of the solution. Our strategic services focus on technology so we expect you to have a strong understanding of how technology is and can be used to solve business problems.

The senior consultant will:
- Interview all levels of client personnel to understand business problems
- Research available technical solutions and craft recommendations
- Collaborate with necessary technical subject matter experts to refine recommendations
- Manage or assist in the management of the creation of the actual solution
We want to talk to you if you have:
- 3-4 years of consulting experience
- Strong business analysis skills
- Ability to dig into the details of any situation and quickly understand the big picture
- Experience managing technical teams
- Proven track of record of being able to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Significant experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
We’re more likely to hire you if you have:
- Expertise in a specific technology area, e.g., Microsoft Business Intelligence stack
- Experience managing iterative development process and an understanding of multiple types of software development life cycles
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline
- Previous experience as a developer
