Cogent Company is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant with practical experience designing and implementing traditional business intelligence (BI) solutions. This role requires a business-oriented understanding of data management principles and data visualization best practices. Broad exposure to multiple technologies or deep expertise in a particular technology is a must.
As a member of Cogent’s Information Management practice, this individual must be able to understand and analyze business needs and architect and implement technology solutions. Desired BI capabilities include the following solution components:
- ETL
- Data Warehousing, including data modeling
- Reporting / dashboarding
- Ad hoc Analytics
Ideal technology expertise includes Microsoft, Oracle and QlikView.
In addition to design and implementation skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following professional attributes:
- a strong customer-service orientation
- the ability to understand and appropriately manage expectations
- an eagerness to learn new concepts and technical applications
Preference will be given to candidates that demonstrate a depth of knowledge in one or more industry verticals, including Life Sciences, Hospitality, Retail/CPG, Financial Services, and Insurance industries.
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
