Ty Anderson
Ty is a co-founder of Cogent Company and serves as Vice President, running Cogent’s Application Development/Systems Integration practice. Ty has more than 15 years of management and technology consulting experience and specializes in architecting professional, well designed, information management applications. Prior to founding Cogent Company, Ty was a founding partner of Credera—a strategy and management consulting firm. Ty began his career as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand and worked for clients in the shipping & distribution, government and financial industries.
Ty is a regular contributor to the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN), DevSource, and has recently written a book, ‘Pro Office 2007 Development with VSTO,’ to follow his 2004 book, ‘Office Programming 2003: Real World Applications.’ Ty is also seen speaking regularly on SharePoint and Office Business Application topics at conferences around the US. In 2009, Ty was awarded Microsoft Most Valued Professional status by Mirosoft for his contributions to the SharePoint and Office communities. Ty received a BBA in Accounting and a B.S. in Spanish from Texas Tech University.
Marc Hoppers
Marc is a co-founder and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogent Company. Marc has more than 20 years of management consulting and industry experience and specializes advising firms in the use of technology to improve productivity and performance. Prior to founding Cogent Company, Marc ran global channel sales for Trendium, a network management software firm. Before Trendium, Marc served clients globally at Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and Consulting Partners. He began his career in research and development at Halliburton.
Marc has been an Adjunct Instructor at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, is a guest lecturer at the University of North Texas, and frequently contributes at conferences on the topics of technology strategy, process improvement, and business intelligence. Marc is an Advisory Board Member of the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences at University of North Texas’ College of Business and leads Cogent’s involvement in the Center for Decision and Information Technologies at the University of North Texas. Marc also serves as Past-President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter and as Secretary and Advocacy Chair on the Board of Directors of the United States Board of the International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners. Marc received a BA and MA from the University of North Texas.
Eric Lakey
Eric Lakey is a Vice President at Cogent Company and is responsible for managing overall service delivery at Cogent and continues to serve clients in the Strategic Advisory Services practice. Eric has over 15 years of Management and IT consulting experience and specializes in the linkages between IT and business strategy, systems development, package implementations, and process-oriented decision systems. Before joining Cogent Company, Eric was a consultant at Ernst & Young and then Capgemini (after they acquired E&Y consulting). Eric spent the majority of his time at E&Y/Capgemini doing management and IT consulting in the telecom industry building custom systems and implementing package solutions. In addition to this, Eric spent five years running the end to end IT operations for three call centers Capgemini was operating for a large wireless telecommunications provider. Eric received a BS in Management Science Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
Jerry Roznovsky
Jerry is a Vice President at Cogent Company and is responsible for finance and operations. Jerry has more than 15 years of development and management experience in various technology industries. Prior to joining Cogent Company in 2009, Jerry was a founding partner of Roch Resources – a Technology Staffing firm. He ran the operations and financial activities for the firm and helped position the company for acquisition by a national staffing firm. Jerry began his career as an Electrical Engineer doing hardware design for various firms in the defense and telecommunications industries. He spent 8 years at Cisco Systems, designing optical telecom equipment and managing a hardware development organization. Jerry received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rice University.
